For the SXSW 2026 festival, we developed a distinctive visual identity that bridges the gap between reality and hand drawn imagination. The project centers on a series of logo animations and mixed media style frames where the vibrant street life of Austin meets surreal 2D elements.
By overlaying textured hand drawn animations onto cinematic city footage, we created a playful yet professional aesthetic that captures the experimental spirit of the festival. This approach allowed us to explore the contrast between geometric brand symbols and organic character driven movement.
