Have you picked out a gift for Mom this Mother’s Day on TMALL? Let’s join Harrison Yu Enli’s bedtime fairy tale for his mom, where he shares little heartening secrets with her.

This time, B2C online retail giant TMALL reached out to us for an animated special featuring Harrison Yu Enli. While Enli will act and narrate the story, our client hopes that we could integrate animation to flesh out the magical, imaginary world. 

This commercial combines live-action footage and 2D animation. To deliver the project within a two-week timeline, we kicked-off our animation production before receiving the live-action footage, which required us to create animated elements that could precisely match into every frame of the live-action. We also focused on refining the textures and lighting to elevate the visual language of a late-night fairy tale. At the final compositing stage, our client was thrilled to see how the 2D elements seamlessly integrated into the live footage.

We hope to deliver this tender story to TMALL’s over 800 million active users, and we wish every mom receives a gift that touches her.
